Help Portrait - Atlanta

The video explains it all. Take a look and see how you can get involved.

I just signed up. I think this is a worthwhile project and can help someone out and raise their spirits. Over the last month, I've photographed couples that shared a similar story. They didn't have recent pictures of themselves or only had individual photos because the other was always taking the picture. It felt good to provide them with some portraits of them together.

Help Portrait takes that idea further. There is already a well organized group in Atlanta. The video was originally posted on Scott Kelby's site where Jeremy Cowart presented this idea. It's been a couple of weeks and it seems that the Atlanta group is well on it's way. It seems that all the Photographer & Makeup Artist spots have been filled (at least those are not options when signing up), but there are other opportunities to help. So if you can, sign up here to participate in Atlanta. The Atlanta group has partnered up with Families First and already have 3 different locations in metro Atlanta.

"Since its inception, Families First has continually strived to provide solutions for children and families faces life's greatest challenges. It is our long history of service that has established Families First as the leading non-profit family service agency in Georgia."
